Dear Mom and All,
Well, we’re getting things ready to move now and it looks as though this is what we’ve waited for. I have directed for my mail to be forwarded to you and I’m telling most of the people whom I correspond with not to write to me at this address anymore. We expect to leave about the 30th, be in Le Havre for a couple of weeks and then sail for the States. We expect to be there sometime around the 20th of next month and it shouldn’t take more than a week or so for the rest of it. I may make it home for hunting season. By the way, I got those three bolts from Red that he was supposed to mail and I’ll either mail them or carry them home. I have some other small stuff too so I guess I better pack a box. We’ve turned in all our clothing and equipment except what we’ll need for the trip which isn’t much. It sure is different from coming over here! We’re going to be pretty busy so I may not get around to writing again. Be seeing you soon!
Love, Wayne.
