Feb ?, 1945?

Yeah, I’ve heard Peg speak of Carl Coolidge. She used to mention him in her letters, he was in the Navy wasn’t he? I don’t know how serious she was about him but she’ll get over it O.K. She’s smart enough not to let a little thing like that get her down.
Say, if you can you might send me some more writing paper, I’m getting pretty low again and I don’t like ‘onionskin’. As soon as it’s possible to get pens again send me one, a ‘Parker’ preferably. Just keep it in mind in case you do see any.
I got the lighter a couple of days ago but I found a very good prewar lighter last week so gave the new one to Shastid who also needed one. Thanks a lot for all the trouble it caused you, anyhow, looking for one. It’s the only package I’ve received for so far tho’ I know of several that are on their way. Most of them cover 2/3 of Europe before they catch up to us.
Does Loretta say anything about our corresponding, etc.? She writes swell letters, interesting and humorous.
Well it’s about 1 o’clock and I’m the only one left up so I guess I better follow the rests’ example and hit the hay myself.
