My Relative Tree

I have ancestors, therefore I am…

Dear Mom,
I have several letters to write and the way I feel now I’ll be lucky if I finish this one. I didn’t get up until noon today and I feel as tired as when I went to bed.

I sent another money order for $100 a day or so ago. I was glad to hear that Wanda had gotten the other one; I hadn’t heard from her.

I knew Bob Bryant‘s address in fact I knew the day he arrived, where, and the place he is now. I get around a little and have ways of finding things out.
I wrote to him a couple weeks ago and got an answer last week. I also got a letter from red. He spent his furlough with Bob.

I don’t know exactly where Joe is now he said he’d write and I could tell by the A.P.O number whether he was transferred or not.

I received the box yesterday, thanks. I enjoyed that school paper a lot especially the scandal sheet.

I have plenty of pipe tobacco now. I bought a couple of cartons at the PX. It isn’t Raleigh but it’s smokeable.

I played poker all afternoon yesterday and only came out 12 shillings ahead but that’s better than losing. I’m still a little ahead on the crafts games. It’s something to pass the time, away anyhow.

So Jay shows the Rice quality of being stubborn now, eh? It seems funny to think of him being old enough for the army but I guess it must be so.

Well this is pretty brief but it’s all I can think of for now.
Love to all, Wayne
