Hi Bud,
How’s business? Same here but there isn’t a hell of a lot of profit in it. We haven’t been having it quite so bad lately, though, but there’s no telling when things will pick up again.

Did you get your new tires yet? I hope you make out OK or you might have to stop going to Mansfield. By the way how do you and Eleanor getting along now, things were going so smooth the last I heard. Ha ha. She must be a lot like one I went with for a long while at home, doncha know?

I just finished a letter to my “true love”, – she’s hurtin’. I don’t reckon I’ll dare go anywhere near Washington, D.C. when I get back. I’m liable to have to quit lying and start telling the truth and I’d probably get belted all over the place.

I got a letter from “Red” Bryant this evening, I’m going to try to get to see some of the boys again while there’s still a chance.

How’s things on the farm and in school? OK I hope. Boy I’m glad I got this near through before a couple of the drunks came in. God knows when things will quiet down, -maybe!

Your brother, Wayne
