Dear Dad,
I got your letter a couple of days ago so will try to answer it. I’ll have to write to Mom and Wanda when I get around to it. I have a couple of unanswered letters from Mom now.
I had another 48 hour pass in London last week. I can get around the town pretty good now. There was a few of the riggers there on furlough and I ran around with them part of the time. I had intended to take my watch in with me and see if I could get it fixed but I forgot it. I’ll have to have it fixed here or send it home before long.
I haven’t seen Joe since I was on furlough. I may go over next week if we get off in time.
We got caught up on our work Friday so got the afternoon and most of yesterday off. We had to stick around until last night in case something of a job came up but it was free time anyhow and we and we sure could use it.
The weather is nice here now. Cold at night but the days are quite warm. The ground has dried up so it doesn’t seem as bad now.
Your loving son, Wayne
