Dear Mom and All,
I received your letter of December 28 night before last. I had intended to answer it last night but didn’t get around to it. I went to the dental clinic yesterday morning and had impressions taken for a new plate. I lost the center section of them (broken in 3 pieces) and got tired of having them break so often. Otherwise they would probably have just repaired the old one again.

Three of us went over to the clinic together on a truck with some of the 506th men. We got through about 4:30 so we stopped in a town on the way back and went to the show ‘Bataan’; It was good. We caught a train back at 9:30 (16 miles was too far to walk).

“Pop” Shastid has spoken several times about answering your letter to him but I guess he hasn’t gotten around to it. He wrote a letter to Wanda a long while ago but must be she never got it for she has never mentioned it. I didn’t know until a week or so later that he had written to her.

Bobby must be pretty good size now, can he handle Eddie’s yet? I reckon he gave him a bad time verbally though, from what you wrote he must swear as fluently as ever. I guess it’ll take more than Katie to break him of it. That reminds me, I owe Katie a letter and I better write it tonight before I forget it. Tell Wanda and Bernice I said hello. I’ll write to dad next time. I got another letter from Vince Bowen? yesterday.
