Dear Mom,
I just got off work but will try to write a few lines before going to bed. I work afternoons and evenings and get the forenoon off this week. Last week I worked days and had evenings off.
You asked if there was anything you could send over. There sure is! I’ve almost run out of pipe tobacco and this English stuff is rotten. If you could send it I’d like a few plugs of Raleigh.
I got a package from Betty last night. A very nice money belt. It will come in handy as I lost the one you gave me by loaning it to some of the fellows for to use for a pattern to make some for themselves. It’s too narrow for pound notes but they’ll fit about nicely once folded in half.
I haven’t seen Joe lately but intend to go over in about two weeks if he doesn’t come over here. He said he’d let me know when the old outfit has settled in their new camp and we’d go over together to see some of the boys. They’ll know what camp they’re in and I’ll know how to find them there, so we should make out OK. I’ll write an Airmail letter before long. Love to all,
Wayne
