Dear Mom
I got your letter and Eileen‘s the same day. I had an airmail letter from Wanda the day before I got yours so I know the news. All the names are pretty but Eileen and Dad had the best except that second one dad suggested. It doesn’t make any difference to me and wouldn’t do any good if it did.
I’m sorry I neglected to even write you for your birthday. I thought of it the first of the month and had good intentions but forgot about it when the time came.
I’m at a loss as to what to send Betty for Xmas. There’s not a damn thing in this country that I’ve seen yet, and it’s pretty late to send a package. I guess I’ll have to do as I always have and send some money and let her get what she wants.
I haven’t been out much this past month, I could have gone to see Joe this past weekend but a couple of the fellows got passes for London last week and I gave them money to go on so it left me a little short. I have about as much fun staying in and listening to a couple screwballs we have. I don’t go for this kind of stuff these Limeys called fun. Tell Eileen I’ll answer her letter soon. Love to All,
Wayne
