Dear Mom,
I’m going to start a letter, but I know I won’t have time to finish it. I’m going to a court marshall trial for one of the fellows who went “over the hill “about two months ago and just got back.
I got my plate yesterday. It fits better than it ever did before. They did a good job of fixing it. I have worn it since 2 o’clock yesterday and it hurts some now but will be OK in a day or so, I guess.
I went to town last night, took Chas with me, and the first hour I was there I spent nine dollars. I bought a pair of swimming trunks for four dollars. Best you can buy. Two pair of socks and a photograph album and corners and other stuff. In my spare time today I mounted about 70 pictures in the afternoon. It’s tiresome work.
Yesterday a felllow bought a developing set. Got a good one with a carrying case. He and Bert fooled with that until 2 o’clock this morning.
I was lucky today, I was put on a team to give the adaptability test to all 28th division men. All I do is sit around . It is to last 10 days (oh boy!)
Well, I’ve run out of things to say so might as well close and take a shower.
Love to all,
Wayne
