Dear Sis,
I got your letter yesterday (and mom‘s) and also a card from Peg. I have already answered Peg and will now make a start at writing to you.
We went on a road march this morning for 13 miles, carrying mozzetta bags, medical pouches, belt and canteen. With tempts around 104° so I’m not too ambitious tonight and not as steady as I might. The heat almost got me.
We got paid today so will send a little to you for graduation present. It’s not as much as I’d like to send, but it’s the best I can do right now.
I got a letter from Catherine today. She says she’s going to New York for a weeks vacation this month. She writes a nice letter.
Saturday night I went to town with the Camp Livingston choir. We broadcasted a half hour program. It was pretty good.
Yesterday we, the quartet, went to church and sang. We sing every Sunday at our own church and sometimes for other churches too.
Well, I can’t think of anything to say so I’ll have to close. Rather short, eh?
Love,
Wayne
