Dear Wanda,
I got your letter yesterday and was duly squashed by your remark that I already owed you a letter, or words to that effect. To tell you the truth, I thought I had answered your last letter, but if you say not, OK. There’s a moral to the story folks, always get a receipt or keep stuff.
I was surprised to hear that Bill had been up. I’ve been wondering where he was and what he was doing. I started a letter to him last night, but it ended up where about 2/3 of the letters I started do, in short, the trash can.
I got mom‘s box intact and wish to thank her very much. I’ll write her a letter as soon as I get around to it. I just got back from the show, Ginger Rogers in “Roxy Hart“. Pretty good. Last night I saw “Call out the Marines”. I’ve seen all that have shown here since the 29th of last month. Won’t see many more though unless I can talk fellows into paying my way.
Well that’s all for now.
Your brother,
Wayne.
