I have ancestors, therefore I am…

Dear Wanda,
I got your letter and was glad to hear from you. I wrote back the same day but didn’t mail the letter so it did no good except for practice.
I got a letter from Joe the other day, also a letter from Peg and a card from Jean Grennell. I answered Joe and Jean but have to write to Peg yet.
I got a letter from Ruth this morning so that will be two I have to answer besides writing to the folks in Elmira and Mama and Papa Rose.
I was glad to hear that you had a chance to go to the Farm Show though it’s only to be expected that it wouldn’t be as large as usual.
I can’t seem to think of anything that I haven’t already written in dad’s and mom’s letters, so I have to wait for an idea.
I took the Company B officers to town with the “googip?” last night. We went too early for supper here so after I had driven them around town a while, they said I could go back, leaving them there. They gave me some money to get supper with and hinted that I could run around town a while if I wanted to, but I came right back to camp, went up to the canteen and got some sandwiches and coffee and a magazine to read in the spare time.
Well, I guess this is a long as this letter is going to be. I can’t think of anything else.
Love, Wayne
