Dear Mother,
I don’t have much time right now but thought I would drop a line.
I am feeling a lot better now than I did, but still have a bad cold.

I wrote to uncle Jay and Ken a couple of days ago. About time I did, I guess.
I have been pretty busy this week. Monday I had to keep the barracks clean, Tuesday I had latrine detail, Wednesday I had to clean the officers barracks and offices a couple of times, Thursday I had latrine detail again, and today I had to wash the trucks.

Our company had guard detail yesterday and every man had to be used to make up details. The rest of the boys have had K. P. a couple of times but they have skipped me so far, though I have been expecting it anytime.

I went to a show the other night in one of the mess halls. I’ve enclosed the advertisement, the picture was good.

I expect to come home about Easter if I can get three or four days off. That will be after we get our monthly pay. I am broke right now. We have expected to get our drill checks every day for a week and no sign of them yet. That would be five or six dollars.

Well that’s about all the time I have now so will close, hoping you all feel better than when you wrote last.

Tell everyone hello for me.
Wayne
